Majid Twahir

Dr. Majid Twahir has more than 30 years' experience in the health industry starting from a junior doctor to hospital leadership. He currently works as a lecturer at the Strathmore University Business School in the Institute of Healthcare Management. Prior to this, Majid worked as the CEO of AAR Hospital where he launched a green field hospital. Majid has also worked for the Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi as the Associate Dean, Clinical Affairs and Chief of Staff. 

He is currently a non-executive member of the Board of Trustees at Strathmore University Foundation and was a founding advisory council member of Executive Health Management Program of Strathmore Business School. 

Majid has a Doctorate in Business Administration from United States International University (USIU-A) and a Master of Business Administration (Strategy) from Strathmore Business School. He also holds advanced medical qualifications-Post Fellowship Certificate in Nephrology, Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. 

Majid's previous work experience include being the Hospital Executive Director at the Nairobi Women's Hospital, Director of Operations and Utilisation management at The Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi and the Medical Director at the Aga Khan Hospital, Mombasa.
